Academics at New Beginnings Institute

At New Beginnings Institute, we believe in a well-rounded approach to early education—one that nurtures the mind, heart, and spirit of each child. Our program combines Bible-based teaching using The Village Church curriculum with a strong academic foundation built through Letterland. This program develops phonics, phonological awareness, and early literacy skills. Through engaging academics and joyful discovery, we help students grow in knowledge, character, and confidence.

What to Expect

Morning Carpool | 8:25 – 8:45 AM
  • Staff greet each vehicle, take student temperatures, and escort children inside.

  • Students visit the restroom, then enjoy supervised play in the Fellowship Hall.

  • At 8:45, toddlers and older students gather for upbeat songs and a prayer before heading to their classrooms.

Circle Time

Teachers begin each day with a story, songs, and theme-based activities. Depending on their age, children explore a variety of topics such as the weather, calendar skills, the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as colors, shapes, patterns, letters, and numbers.

Playground

Weather permitting, classes head outside for free play on our well-equipped playground (play structure, mud-kitchen, tool bench, basketball hoops, rope swing, balls, and digging buckets—swings coming soon!). When rain keeps us indoors, large-motor toys in the Fellowship Hall keep bodies moving.

Movement Class

Dedicated gross-motor sessions build coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the ability to follow multi-step directions through structured games.

Learning Centers
  • Babies & Toddlers: hands-on art, simple sensory bins, and exploratory play.

  • Preschool & Pre-K: rotating stations that target literacy, math, fine-motor skills, and problem-solving.

  • Every class includes an age-appropriate free-play station to encourage creativity and social growth.

Snack Time (Nut-Free)

Students bring a healthy snack from home. Teachers use this time to practice gratitude through prayer, model polite conversation, and reinforce responsibility as students clean up their spaces.

Dismissal & Daily Connection

Families pick children up directly from classrooms, allowing for quick updates with teachers. Our secure app records each sign-out and timestamp for your peace of mind.
